Playing tired? How much advantage does this really give the opponent?

Let's take a look at NHL data on how a team playing on the second night of a back-to-back fares against a rested opponent.
My partner, Vic Morren, and I discussed this disadvantage this week, and he wondered what the data would show, so here it is:
Rested teams playing opponents who are in the second game of back-to-back games win 57.64% of the games. Adding to the fatigue factor is that 76% of these games are played on the road by the tired team. Playing at home, tired, against a rested visitor gives the tired home team only a 5% to 5.5% better chance of winning than the overall 42.36% winning rate.
